Most bundles start the moment the eSIM connects to a network in your destination country. So keep installing and activating separate.
1. Install at home, on wifi
Scan the QR code from your order email. The profile is added to your device. Give it a clear label, such as "Trip Spain".
2. Keep the eSIM switched off
Leave data on your regular SIM until you land, so the validity period does not start yet.
3. On arrival: switch the eSIM on
Set the eSIM as your mobile data line and enable data roaming for that line. It sounds odd, but the eSIM technically works as a roaming line and there are no extra costs.
4. Check the connection
No network after a minute? Toggle airplane mode, or select a network manually.
